Mé hlavní vědecké zájmy leží v oblasti cizineckého přízvuku a osvojování cizího jazyka, zejména pak angličtiny českých mluvčích. Kromě toho se věnuji fonetické podstatě slabiky a určování slabičných hranic, fonologickým aspektům řeči, srovnávání zvukových systémů různých jazyků. V neposlední řadě se též zabývám mapováním dějin české fonetiky v evropském kontextu.
