My current research focuses on the pronunciation norm of Czech and on the melodic properties of Czech.

Professor Zdena Palková is an Emeritus member of the Institute of Phonetics but occasionally still teaches courses on Stage Elocution or Sound Structure of Verse.
On top of these, she used to teach courses in Fundamentals of Prosody, Phonology, as well as Phonetics of Czech for Foreigners.
